Prince William Area Disaster Fund


Eligibility Requirements

  • Applications for community groups to communicate interest will be accepted on a continuous cycle, based on funding availability, via a short online fill-in-form. At the end of each cycle, the proposals will be reviewed by the grant review committee who will make funding recommendations to The Alliance board of directors for final approval.


  • The fund will not accept requests from individuals or on behalf of individuals.


  • Applicants will be required to use the funds in support of operational and programmatic activities and services in Prince William County, The City of Manassas and/or The City of Manassas Park.


  • Applicants would be encouraged to demonstrate an existing or planned collaborative partnership in their plan to use funding.


  • Grants are limited to 501(c)(3) nonprofits, groups fiscally sponsored by 501(c)(3) nonprofits, or other charitable organizations able to receive a tax-deductible contribution, such as schools, faith-based organizations, and other public entities. Under these laws and rules, The Alliance is not able to directly fund individuals, businesses, labor unions, or other 501(c)(4), (5), or (6) organizations.
