The Prince William Area Disaster Fund
To date, more than $17,000 has been used to alleviate hunger by purchasing grocery and produce items for the 43 food distribution sites that have partnered with the Community Feeding Task Force.
In addition to funds disbursed to hunger programs through The Community Feeding Task Force, six organizations have been awarded grants through the Round 1 funding cycle. They are:
ABOUT PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY CARES ACT COMMUNITY GRANTS
In 2020, The Alliance was awarded $3 million of Prince William County CARES Act funds to distribute amongst 26 grantees.
The Alliance was retained $50,000 of the funds to assist in the administration and management of the grant funds.

ABOUT THE PRINCE WILLIAM AREA DISASTER FUND
The Human Services Alliance of Greater Prince William has partnered with Prince William County Government, the City of Manassas Park and the City of Manassas to independently administer The Prince William Area Disaster Fund.
This fund will serve as the combined disaster relief and recovery fund for the Greater Prince William area, with an immediate focus on COVID-19 (Coronavirus) relief efforts. Funds raised will be distributed to community groups in the form of grants that address housing, human services, employment assistance and other critical needs.
To date, more than $17,000 has been used to alleviate hunger by purchasing grocery and produce items for the 43 food distribution sites that have partnered with the Community Feeding Task Force.
The Alliance will retain 5% of funds raised to offset the costs of managing and administering the fund.
