FREE ACTS Training - Schedule Your Training TODAY!

    in General Interest

    Dear Alliance Members,

As you know, ACTS has been working tirelessly to serve the increased needs of our neighbors in crisis during COVID-19. What you may not know, is that as the Community Educator for ACTS Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services, I am still available for presentations and trainings, albeit via Zoom…for the time being.

Now more than ever, it is critical that we continue to educate and reach as many people as possible given the fact that there has been a drastic increase in domestic and sexual violence during the quarantine. That means there isn’t a better time to train your staff and organization. One thing is for sure; COVIC-19 has reminded us that we all are connected like never before.

    Training Topics:

1 Domestic & Sexual Violence: Facts, Stats, & Resources - Learn about the dynamics of domestic violence, cycle of abuse, red flags, barriers to leaving abusive relationships, seeking protective orders, how to support someone in a violent relationship, and resources. Also, learn about the dynamics of sexual violence, understand consent, how to respond when someone discloses, barriers to reporting, the importance of having the forensic medical exam, risk reduction, and resources. (1 hour, 30 minutes – 2 hours)

2 Domestic Violence: Facts, Stats & Resources - Learn about the dynamics of domestic violence, cycle of abuse, red flags, barriers to leaving abusive relationships, seeking protective orders, how to support someone in a violent relationship, and resources. (1 hour)
